Movin' Up The Coast

Today I took a boat tour up the Loxahatchee River to an od trapper's site. Great wildlife and a spectacularly beautiful river! It is so nice to see what Florida loks like in it's naural state. If you don't get off the road here you'll have no idea where you really are. They should have left it alone!! I took a 45 minute hike through forest I had pretty much seen on the bike ride yesterday and then ate a quick lunch and headed for the beach. This time I went to Jupiter Beach where people were actually sticking their toes in and there were people kite surfng despite the warnings of schools of sharks right by the shore. I got a sunburn in February!! (dancing like Snoopy...) It feels strangely wonderful!

Went back to camp and stated to pack up in preparation for moving @160 miles up the coast tomorrow. I may be raining by the time I leave so I took down the awning and stowed the bike. That is now an easier job due to the folding pedals! Restocked the pantry and water and put on a clean shirt to go out to dinner. Lobster, scallops, mussels and shrimp! Yum!! I'm ready to see new things and can't wait for the shuttle launch on sunday morning!

Once again, McD's WiFi doesn't let me load pictures onto this blog but puts them on Facebook without a hitch so check 'em out at:
