After some rain last night I woke to dense fog and just hung inside the T@B until the sun came out in the late morning. Finally ventured out to explore the park and discovered that this place was very nearly wiped out by the hurricane. The beach project is huge and will replace a couple hundred acres of sand. An enormous suction dredge sits about half a mile offshore and pumps water & sand onto the beach where heavy machines spread it out into place. They work 24/7 to take advantage of different opportunities that the changing tides present. Awesome. The sun came out making the early afternoon very nice. I saw a "crab lagoon" where you can actually see oysters and scallops from the bank and off a small dock. All you need is a proper rake and you are in business. The sun went down, the temps plummeted 15 degrees and the wind kicked up all in about 10 minutes. I'm now in thick fog again. Looks like a good dinner and a movie tonight.
