Kansas, and more Kansas

Kansas. The sunflower state. A long driving day with the T@B. One long concrete ribbon that was a lot longer than other trips I have taken here because I keep my speed at 60 or under to get better MPG. Uneventful except for the incessant cries of "cute trailer!" every time I stop for gas or whatever. Stopped in Hays for gas and a McD's parfait and encountered a woman ranting that she had either missed her bus or they had left without her. "Are you going south?!" Uh, no. By the look and sound of her I might have left her too. After driving through a downpour (I could see it coming for about 30 miles!) I have arrived at the Goodling, KS KOA for the night and am looking foward to a walk, WiFi access, a shower (the swim is out due to light rain and accompanying thunder) and supper. Exciting stuff, huh? Mountains tomorrow. (Photo is not mine but you get the idea)

  3. This part of your trip is the part that Joe dreads when traveling west. He said Kansas goes on forever....I have never been and the picture is beautiful. Mountains in a while, huh? That will be fun. Thanks for setting this up. I love hearing where you are and how its going.
