Another long driving day took me to a nice little State Park in Iowa called Lake Anita. After setting up camp I started to stow stuff and make room for Beth as I will be meeting her along with Erin & Abby at a little T@B rally/campout at Coralville Lake near Iowa City tomorrow.
I stopped to do laundry and buy food before getting there and was only set up for an hour before they arrived from Champaign. What a fun way to have a reunion! Family and some of the nicest folks anywhere- other T@B owners. We've gotten to know many of these people pretty well over the past couple of years and it was great to have my kids along to meet the folks we've talked about so much. 10 T@B's occupied a 10-space camp circle and we enjoyed campfires and visiting for 2 days. There were a couple of new T@B's so the group continues to grow. It's always plain laid-back fun! Packed up this morning said good-byes and drove home this afternoon. Man, it's GREEN here!!! I guess this ends this part of the blog for a while. I'm working on the next trip already... The Makanda, Il. Vulture Festival in October followed by the lunacy of the MacIntyre/Campbell Tolono Highland Games here at home after that! (Think: highlands in Tolono= the 'foothills of Mount Level'.)
